“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” -Winston Churchill
I was born and raised in Oregon, in the small town of Harrisburg. I attended Oregon State University and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Radiation Health Physics. Attracted to a future career in healthcare and anticipating applying to graduate school, I decided to enrich my knowledge and experience by becoming a medical scribe in one of the busiest emergency rooms in the state. After a while, I sought a change in pace. Working for Drs. Henderson and Kollmorgen over the last two years I have honed my skills and satisfied my need for precision in the back drop of empathy. My upbringing has taught me the importance of organization, so it was natural that I gravitated towards health data analytics. Drs. Henderson and Kollmorgen are obsessed with delivering quality care and in my role as a member of the Wellness Team, I am pleased to share OSW’s value of innovation. I know that helping them collect and analyze data encourages us to be better. I appreciate the fluidity of roles within my team because it optimizes patient care and gives all of us time to pitch in. I also believe that a team’s synergy can be felt by patients as soon as they walk through the door. It is a privilege to be a part of OSW’s evolution, and my OSW experience thus far, has been incredibly rewarding.
